Are you our new Trustee?
From April this year BucksVision will embark on a new chapter of its history as we become independent after 7 years of association with RNIB and it is now time to expand and broaden the skills and composition of the Board of Trustees.
We need passionate Trustees, who represent the diverse community we support, with an interest in our work who can bring their experience and skills, in particular Fundraising, Marketing, Human Resources, and Digital Services/Inclusion, into our organisation to enable us to provide an accessible, effective and appropriate range of services to our members.
"Hello I’m Bob Dean, Chair of BucksVision. Following nearly a life-time of visual impairment, I retired from my career with an international IT services company nearly 15 years ago. In 2012 the opportunity arose to join BucksVision, which enabled me to utilise some of the skills I gained whilst in employment to support BucksVision through a number of the challenges it has faced over the last decade.
As the charity moves into a new chapter it is time to expand and broaden the skills and composition of the Board of Trustees. As a BucksVision Trustee, you will join our governance team and will have the opportunity to apply your unique skills and experience while learning from others. You will work closely with both passionate staff and volunteers, who all have different perspectives; this is often one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role.
I look forward to welcoming you to the team."
